Karinderya Shift Checklist
Queue outside, seated waiting, or empty plates — pick the tell, then fix that system.
A Karinderya shift goes wrong in three visible ways. People stack on the sidewalk. People sit and starve. Plates never appear because the shop is empty. If you treat all three as “we need more stuff,” you will buy the wrong stuff. This page is the long diagnostic for those tells, plus a checklist you can run every rush. An interactive checklist component will appear on this page; the hook is already in the article so we can enhance it later without rewriting the guide.
Karinderya! is a Filipino restaurant co-op from SILOG on Roblox. Up to six players share one eatery and chase five stars. Your party is the staff by default. A timed Grocery hire is optional and community-observed—see how to hire workers if the prompt exists. Stoves auto-cook. You still have to place furniture, assign guests, carry plates, restock, and deal with runaways. The checklist does not replace Getting Started. It sits on top of it once the tutorial prompts are familiar.
How to read a live restaurant
Stand where you can see the door, the seats, and the kitchen. Ignore cash popups for ten seconds. Ask only: where are the bodies, and what are they doing?
If the crowd is outside, you have a capacity or assignment problem. Either you do not have enough tables and chairs, or you have seats and nobody is hitting Assign Customer to Table. Furniture is the buy. Hosting is the skill. See Place Table and Chairs if the prompt is the part you keep missing.
If the crowd is seated and idle, you have a kitchen problem. The stove is too slow, too far, or unattended. Plate carriers are sightseeing. This is when you open the stove rankings and climb Basic → Standard → Deluxe. Do not add chairs. Chairs make this tell worse.
If the dining room wants to work but plates are empty, you have a stock problem. Ingredients and condiments ran out, the restock timer is ticking, and everyone is still assigning new guests as if food existed. Go to the shop. Stop seating. Empty plates are not a table upgrade.
Those three sentences are the owner brain. Everything below is how to apply them without arguing in voice chat for five minutes while a runaway leaves with dinner.
The three bottlenecks in detail
Queue outside = tables (or the door). A sidewalk line is demand you are not converting. First, look at empty chairs. If chairs exist, you do not need more furniture—you need a door host. Park a player on Assign Customer to Table until the line becomes seated work. If every chair is full and people still wait outside, now you may buy a table-and-chair set. Buy one set. Run another rush. The furniture rankings exist because extra seats raise runaway risk the moment the kitchen falls behind.
Seated waiting = stoves (or carriers). Guests in chairs with nothing to eat are the most expensive failure. They are close to becoming runaways, and they occupy the seats you needed for the sidewalk. Upgrade the stove if you are still on Basic. Place Deluxe or Standard on a short walk to the busy tables. Put a human next to the stove during peak. Auto-cook does not auto-carry. If six players all stand at the door, Deluxe will not save you. If you already own Deluxe from a visit code, this tell means you need runners, not a second shopping spree.
Empty plates = stock. Karinderya’s shop is on a restock cadence. A better stove empties that shop faster. A bigger dining room empties it faster. After a furniture spike or a Deluxe drop, assign a shopper. When plates should exist and do not, freeze assignments. Serving air is how ratings stall. Codes that grant cash help you buy ingredients; they do not restock for you unless you walk over or you are using a script you accepted the risk for on the Scripts Hub.
Runaways sit across all three tells. They are more common when seated waits last too long, but they also happen as slapstick. One player can chase. Five players chasing is how the kitchen dies. The review is honest about how frustrating chases feel. The checklist answer is still: prevent seated waits, then chase leftovers.
Markdown checklist you can copy
Run this at the start of a shift, after the first rush, and whenever someone says “we’re throwing.”
Before doors feel busy
- Tutorial prompts are done; ticket-icon codes redeemed
- At least one complete table-and-chair set is placed
- Stove is placed with a walking lane to those tables
- Shop location is known; one person owns restock
- Roles called: door, cook, runner, shop (combine roles if fewer than four players)
During the rush — pick one tell
- Outside queue, empty chairs: host assigns, do not buy furniture
- Outside queue, all chairs full: add one table-and-chair set, then re-check
- Seated and waiting: stop adding chairs; upgrade stove or add a carrier
- Empty plates / missing ingredients: shop immediately; pause new assignments
- Runaway on the map: one chaser only; everyone else holds their role
After the rush
- Did stars move, or only the chair count?
- Was Deluxe idle while people waited outside?
- Did Standard or Basic cause seated waits after we added seats?
- Did we bankrupt the shop after a furniture buy?
- Next cash spend named: stove, seating, or stock — not “whatever is on sale”
Print it, paste it in Discord, or keep this page open. The interactive block above is meant to become a clickable version of the same list.
Co-op callouts that actually help
Bad call: “buy chairs.” Good call: “outside queue, chairs full.” Bad call: “the stove is broken.” Good call: “seated waiting, need a runner.” Bad call: “game is out of food.” Good call: “empty plates, I’m shopping, stop assigning.” Language that names the tell lets a six-player lobby self-correct without a manager speech.
On mobile, say the tell even louder. You cannot see as much of the room. A PC player should be the scout if you have one. Mix clients on purpose. Karinderya’s prompts are usable on both, but the checklist assumes someone has a camera angle on door, seats, and kitchen.
How this pairs with spending
The checklist names a system. The Tier List Hub names the SKU. Queue plus full chairs → furniture page. Seated wait → stove page. Empty plates → shop, then maybe cash from codes. If you skip the tell and jump to Deluxe because it is “S tier,” you will own a trophy that does not touch the sidewalk.
Scripts that Auto Restock or Auto Serve can mask tells. If you use Nyxen Hub, pause automation for one rush with this checklist so you still understand the restaurant. If you never learn the tells, the first patch that breaks the GUI will leave you helpless.
A full example shift
You join with two friends. Tutorial done. You redeem codes and receive a Deluxe stove and a Parsons set. Place them. First rush: two guests sit, food arrives, cash comes in. Sidewalk grows. You look: chairs are full. Tell = queue outside with full seats. You buy one more table-and-chair. Second rush: six people sit, Deluxe is cooking, but two seats wait. Tell = seated waiting. You do not buy more chairs. One friend becomes a dedicated runner. Third rush: food stops appearing. Tell = empty plates. You camp the shop through the restock timer and pause assignments. Stars tick. That is a successful use of the tool. No calculator required.
If the same lobby had bought six extra chairs after the first sidewalk queue, the second rush would have been a runaway festival. The checklist exists to stop that story. Use it until the three tells are automatic, then you will only need this page when a new teammate joins and starts placing chairs for fun.
Keep controls nearby for prompt names, updates after patches, and the Links Hub for Discord when a tell looks like a real bug instead of a bottleneck. Most of the time it is a bottleneck.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers for Karinderya players.
What does a queue outside actually mean?
It means seating or assignment. If chairs are empty, assign guests. If chairs are full, add one table-and-chair set. Do not upgrade the stove for a sidewalk line.
What if people are sitting but not eating?
That is a stove or carrier problem. Climb the stove rankings and put someone on plates. Stop buying chairs until the seats you have are fed.
What do empty plates mean?
Stock. Restock the shop, buy ingredients, and pause new assignments until food exists again.
How many people should chase a runaway?
One. Everyone else holds door, stove, or shop. A full-lobby chase is how seated waits appear behind you.
Is there an interactive checklist on this page?
Yes. A `shift-checklist` block sits after the first section so a clickable tool can load on top of this guide.
